Maha Sivarathri Celebration

Maha Sivarathri will be celebrated at the Temple on February 16 with Homam and Abhishekam to Lord Siva and Four Kala Pujas with continuous Pujas and Bhajans.
HOMAM and ABHISHEKAM to LORD SIVA 10:30am
Pujas will be performed at FOUR KALAS (periods) as shown below:
FIRST KALA PUJA
7:00pm to 8:30pm
The First Kala Puja will start with Ganesha Puja and Kalasa Sthapana, followed by Ekadasa Rudra Parayana Sahitha Abhishekam to Lord Siva. Rudram will be recited for eleven times during the Abhishekam with Panchamrutham( five different ingredients). After this Abhishekam Lord siva will be worshipped chanting Three Hundred Names in praise of Him (Thrisathi Archana). Deeparadhana, Manatrhra Pushpam and Bhajans follow this event.
SECOND KALA PUJA
9:00pm to 10:30pm
During this period Rudraabhishekam, Kalasaabhishekam and Archana will be performed followed by Deeparadhana and Bhajans.
THIRD KALA PUJA
10:30pm to 12:15
The Pujas performed during the Second Kalam will be repeated in this period.
FOURTH KALA PUJA
12:15 am (Lingodhbhava Kala Puja)
The pujas performed during the Second and Third Kalams will be repeated during this period. This is an important period because it is believed that Lord Siva appeared in the form of Lingam without beginning and ending to his devotees.

For regular sponsorship of pujas, we have several programs and we need your support. You may choose one or more programs to help the Temple. You need not be present at the Temple. Pujas will be performed on your name and prasadam will be mailed to you for Satyanarayana Vrathra puja and for special pujas.
1. Nitya (daily) puja plus all temple sponsored special pujas including Satyanarayana Puja, Temple Anniversary, Ganesh Chathurthi, Devi Navarathri, Deepavali, and Shivarathri [Sponsorship $1,800/year]
2. Nitya (daily) puja plus all temple sponsored special pujas (except satayanarayana puja) including Temple Anniversary, Ganesh Chathurthi, Devi Navarathri, Deepavali, and Shivarathri [Sponsorship $1,500/year]
3. Nitya (daily) puja [Sponsorship $1,200/year]
4. All temple special sponsored pujas as in item number 2 [Sponsorship $300/year]
5. Weekly puja, one day of your choice [Sponsorship $250/year]
6. Monthly puja, one day of your chioce [Sponsorship $50/year]
7. Stayanara Vratha puja (every purnima) [Sponsorship $300/year]
